| Born in Kent and having spent his childhood in the Romney Marsh, Kenton attended local schools before going to study at Leeds University .
Kenton trained with Burgess Hodgson and is now a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales , an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a Practising member of the Academy of Experts . His career has been in private practice since 1988 providing accountancy and taxation advice to owner-managed business and high net worth individuals. A general practitioner by background, Kenton has enjoyed developing his interest in tax and the challenging world of forensic accounting. He welcomes any opportunity to help his clients with work of a specialist nature including advising on the tax and accountancy aspects of business purchases and sales, dealing with tax investigations (including Special Compliance Office), and providing tax planning advice.
Kenton is fully accredited as a Practising Member of the Academy of Experts . In addition to looking after his own portfolio of clients in the owner-managed sector he is frequently called upon to provide litigation support services to solicitors and barristers in a variety of areas including business and share valuations, company profitability, tax aspects of transactions and commercial and partnership disputes. He has been instructed as a Party Appointed Expert and as a Single Joint Expert, and has given expert witness evidence under cross-examination in the County, Crown and High Court.
Kenton lives within the City Walls of Canterbury with his French wife who is a chocolatier and their two children. |
