Paul was born and brought up in east Kent having attended Sir Roger Manwood’s school in Sandwich. He trained as a chartered accountant in Dover and qualified in 1981. He joined Burgess Hodgson as an audit manager in 1984 and became a partner in 1986.

Kent’s closeness to Europe has made it an ideal base for many International companies seeking expansion into Europe as well as European businesses investing in the UK. Paul assists many of these international businesses with the commercial, taxation and compliance requirements of life in the UK as compared to their native countries.

He is also experienced and specialises in large professional partnerships in particular in the legal and medical sector.
Within the practice he is responsible for the IT department maintaining the practices network of 70 workstations. The IT departments’ skills and experience is used as a confidential expert resource for certain of our clients seeking secure and specialist assistance with their own computerised systems.
